A program for all

Are you someone who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of patients? Do you want to support the exceptional Siddhasthali Rural Community Hospital team in making a difference in the community we serve? If so, you might be just the person Siddhasthali needs! At Siddhasthali Rural Community Hospital, we recognize the positive impact volunteers make on our patients and team every day. We seek high-quality, compassionate individuals who are committed to serving others. Our volunteers are carefully screened, trained and placed within Siddhasthali where their skills and talents will shine.

Below is a list of areas where Siddhasthali volunteers serve:

Patient Visitor Volunteer

These volunteers provide so much: a warm blanket, a listening ear, a glass of cool water, a magazine or a book. Volunteers can read to our patients or help them with a puzzle to pass the time. Volunteer visitors give the gift of time: time to focus on the patient and to provide comfort with a smile. These volunteers will be rounding on various floors and units at our head office in Hetauda.

Greeters and Navigators

Can you help me? If you are customer-service oriented, the answer is always a cheerful Yes! These outgoing volunteers greet and guide patients and their families within the hospital or work at the various entry points in the main hospital. A passion for people is a must for these volunteer positions.

Administrative

These opportunities vary from general office duties, organizing, filing, data entry, inventory or even helping with bulletin boards. There are clerical jobs for every skill and experience level. This is a great way to support the important departments that makeup Siddhasthali!

Outreach Volunteer

Become a Siddhasthali volunteer at our satellite clinics! Many volunteers greet and check-in patients, stock supplies.

Creative Service

We use volunteers in a variety of creative ways throughout the hospital system, from musicians, and clowns. Let us know your interests and talents!

For more information or to receive a volunteer application, contact the Siddhasthali Volunteer Services Department at [email protected]

Note: All onsite volunteer candidates complete a volunteer application, provide references, interview with volunteer services staff, and complete a volunteer orientation. Decisions to accept a candidate are based on suitability, compatible goals, favourable interview, recommendations, and vaccinations.

Virtual Volunteers

We recognize the positive impact volunteers make virtually and want to offer an activity that engages you in volunteer service and learning opportunities.

The virtual volunteer program is designed to directly impact and benefit our patients, caregivers, and you! As a virtual volunteer, this opportunity allows you to be engaged in a structured program, have the ability to serve at your own pace, and obtain service hours if needed.

For doctors, nurses and allied health professionals

Volunteer professionals like you can offer free, online consultations to assist doctors, nurses, and other health workers in our hospital and satellite clinics as they treat patients who have limited access to care.

Thanks to modern technology, you can do all of this from your own home or office, without having to travel to where the patients are located!
