Siddhasthali Rural Community Hospital receives additional funding of $98,600 from Direct Relief USA and £15,000 from CHANCE for NEPAL UK to fund the hospital construction.
Siddhasthali Rural Community Hospital (SRCH) construction in Hetauda began amid COVID-19, with the initial funding of $223,600 received from Direct Relief in 2020.
The additional funding of $98,600 will help in the completion of civil work on the second floor and plumbing/electrical and interior work on the ground floor.
Another significant milestone to the hospital construction is the contribution of £15,000 from the UK-based charity- CHANCE for Nepal which will help fund the pharmacy block that will accommodate a pharmacy, medical store and a coffee shop.
Once operational, the Siddhasthali Rural Community Hospital will help in the expansion of health services in rural Hetauda, where people in need will receive quality, affordable care. The hospital will continue to partner with non-profit organisations, private sector, government and individuals to receive assistance for its construction, infrastructure development, renovation or other health promotion projects.
